As Learning Support Assistant, you will support Teachers and Senior Teaching Assistants in enabling children and young people with a wide range of needs to succeed at school. You will put in place strategies that support pupils to engage in the curriculum and will be responsible for delivering learning activities to individuals and small groups (as directed by the class Teacher), supporting emotional needs, preparing resources, and creating a safe, autism friendly environment.

The successful applicant must be committed to providing the best possible education to children and young people with communication and interaction needs/ autism. They must be understanding of the complex difficulties our students face and passionate about breaking down barriers to give them the best possible chances in life.

We are looking for someone with a positive attitude who works well with others.

Skills and experience of working with young people who have communication & interaction needs/ autism would be of benefit, however, there will be a full induction programme for new staff and additional training where required.
