RECEPTIONIST

Part time, 19.5 hours per week (term time plus 6 days. 3 of which are to be worked at the start of the each new academic year, 3 to be agreed)

Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from 8.45am - 3.45pm for 41 weeks per year

To Start 24th August 2021 with training provided before this date

Salary Grade 5 (actual salary £8935.62 PA)

The Fusion Academy opened in September 2020. The school provides education for children and young people who have communication and interaction difficulties, including autism, aged 7-19 (key stages 2 - 5). We are now looking to increase the administrative support provided in the school as the number of pupils increases for the new academic year and we are looking to appoint a person to be part of an administrative team contributes towards inspiring and supporting children and young people within this specialist school

We are looking for a proficient Receptionist with a great work ethic, attention to detail and ability to work as part of an established and well-balanced team. You must have a friendly disposition and be able to be adaptable and flexible in your approach and able to represent the school in a professional and friendly manner. In addition it is essential that the person for this role is organised, able to multitask, work flexibly and have a ‘can do’ approach to work, as no two days are the same. The receptionist is also required to assist the Administration Officer with various administrative tasks, requiring a high level of IT skills to include maintaining the Schools website and Social Media accounts ensuring consistent communication through various online media platforms. You will need to have excellent administration skills and have the ability to work effectively under your own initiative, as well as part of a wider team.

You will need to be computer literate and experienced in using common software packages.

Recognising these strange times in which we are living, recruitment is likely to be carried out using video links and online tasks.

The successful candidate will need to meet the requirements of the person specification and will be subject to an enhanced DBS check.
