This is a permanent role, working 36 hours per week/39 weeks a year. (Term time)
Working Pattern: Shifts are available mornings between 7.00am-9.15am, Tuesday to Friday and/or evenings 3.00pm-8.30pm, Monday to Thursday. This is an indication of the working pattern but will be dependent on the needs of particular pupils.
We have exciting opportunities for Residential Childcare Officers - Key Worker to join the team at Linden Bridge School. The successful candidate will be responsible for those pupils boarding in the Residential department at the school. Key responsibilities will include drafting and carrying out Risk Assessments, facilitating EHCP target work where applicable and the personal care of each pupil. Working as part of the Residential team, they will be required to plan and oversee activities for the pupils, which could involve travel off-site, with the assistance of the Part-Time Child Care Officers.
The post-holder will work alongside the Residential Staff Team to ensure the welfare of the children and young people boarding at the school. They will maintain confidentiality in and outside of the workplace, and be pro-active in matters of health and safety.
Linden Bridge School is a special school in Worcester Park, Surrey for children and young people with complex communication and interaction needs. Originally part of the LIFT Partnership Multi Academy Trust, a family of schools who work together to use and share a wide range of expertise and services, LIFT Partnership has now merged with The Howard Partnership Trust (THPT) from March 2021.

The successful candidate will hold or be prepared to complete training in level 3 Health and Social Care on successful recruitment and complete other mandatory training. They will be able to demonstrate basic numeracy and literacy, e.g through GCSE qualification in English and Maths or equivalent, or able to evidence ability at an equivalent level.
