Location: Surrey (flexible). THPT has schools in North West Surrey (Feltham/Sunbury), Mid Surrey (Leatherhead/Epsom area) and South East Surrey (Oxted)

This is a term-time position where are you are required to work 3 days of the week.

This is an exciting role for a qualified Clinical Psychologist to join the team of six lead by Dr. David McKie, Consultant Child & Adolescent Clinical Psychologist in The Howard Partnership Trust. The successful candidate will play an important role in supporting the provision of a clinical psychology service to students referred to the psychology team from senior staff within each school from a base on >7,500 students from 4-18 years-old. You will be required to work autonomously within professional guidelines and provide specialist psychological assessment, care planning and a range of evidence-based psychological interventions. THPT has invested in WISC, WPPSI, ADOS and a number of screening measures. It is essential that the successful candidate is registered and accredited with Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) and/or BPS as a “clinical psychologist”.

As a qualified psychologist, you will be required to assess, diagnose and treat young people just as if you were in an NHS community setting. In addition to this, we have launched a number of preventative projects including building resilience into all our students. We have created a research project which includes questionnaires from >5,500 of our students. Our goal is to invest resources into students, their families and staff to build positive mental health across THPT.

THPT has established strong relationships with Surrey University. We offer “specialist” and “core” placements to doctorate trainees. Furthermore, David assists with some lectures, interviews and marking for Surrey University.
