Job Description

We have an exciting opportunity for a passionate, dedicated, and innovative Cooking Lead / Instructor to join our team at West Hill School. We are looking for an exceptional and experienced individual who can help our children to ACHIEVE as much as they possible can and FLOURISH in adult life. We are seeking someone with prior experience of wider cooking opportunities e.g. clubs or with experience in a commercial sector. It would be helpful if you have previously supported children in interventions or clubs or as a wider part of school life. Ideally you will have held previous roles working with children with additional needs although this is not a pre requisite if you are keen to develop your skills and learn. You will be passionate about sharing and teaching our young children in great new cooking room. The post will be based at West Hill which is a specialist built primary environment.

Our primary children work at least 3-4 years away from age-related expectations and all pupils have an Education, Health and Care Plan covering a range of complex learning difficulties, including speech and language difficulties, autism and/or medical needs. Our models of learning mean that our children are based in mixed aged groups of between 8-12 children.
