About us

The Howard Nursery School provides a warm, friendly and caring environment for every one of its exceptional little people.

The Howard Nursery aims to provide the best possible learning environment for children aged 18 months to 5 years. Base rooms are bright, warm and welcoming and have been designed to provide an environment ensuing the principal areas of learning are accessible to all our children. In addition, we have a secure enclosed outdoor learning area.

Job Description

Permanent Role, Working 32.5 hours per week/38 weeks per year (Term time)

Working Pattern: Monday to Friday, 8.30am – 3.30pm with a 30 minute unpaid lunch break

We have an exciting opportunity for a Room Leader to join our committed and pro-active team within The Howard Nursery School. Set in the grounds of Howard of Effingham School, the Nursery School is open to children from 16 months to 5 years. The Director and Nursery School Manager are committed to ensuring The Howard Nursery School is an employer of choice and a Nursery School that thrives on delivering the best experience for staff, the children and their parents.

Essential Criteria

Successful candidates will have:

Good education to GCSE level in English, Maths and Science – Grade C and above or equivalent.

Level 3 NVQ in Childcare and education or equivalent.

Knowledge of EYFS and at least two years of experience in a similar post is essential.
