Where possible interviews will be held on site within our schools and we will adhere to our current Covid policy for external visitors. Otherwise interviews will be held remotely by Teams.

Working Pattern: Monday to Friday, 8.30am - 4.12pm with a 30 minute unpaid break.

We have an exciting opportunity for a Teaching Assistant to join the team at the Howard of Effingham School. The postholder will support the teacher in their responsibility for the development and education of young people: assisting with the planning, preparation and development of work programmes for individuals and groups of students and prepares resources to support learning activities; monitoring and evaluating student progress and reporting this to the class teacher. In addition, they will be directed to complete activities within the Inclusion department to support young people.

The successful candidate must: be able to plan learning activities to support students; be able to plan and organise their own work schedule with the ability to prioritise; be able to undertake administrative tasks; have excellent written and oral communication skills.

Post holders who do not have GCSE Maths and English Grade A – C or an equivalent stand-alone qualification at NVQ Level 2 in Literacy and Numeracy, will be encouraged to study and gain the Adult Skills qualifications in Literacy and Numeracy at NVQ Level 2.
