Your Role in Building Brighter Futures
As a Childcare Play Leader, you will play a key role in contributing to the delivery of Futura’s mission statement of “Building the brightest future for all, enabling every individual to flourish”. We are looking for an individual who is passionate about living our values and making a positive impact on all the young people in our Trust.
Childcare Play Leaders are responsible to support and oversee the day to day running of the breakfast, afterschool club and Holiday Club and support Play Assistants during their shifts. Play Leaders organise, plan and take part in the running of day to day activities with the children within our care. Play Leaders are key liaisons with parents, management and school staff ensuring sessions run efficiently whilst ensuring the children are happy and safe at all times.
What You’ll Bring to Futura
We are looking for a flexible and dedicated Childcare Play Leader with the following:
- Educated to A level or equivalent, with good GCSEs in English and Maths.
- Industry-accredited childcare or teaching qualification.
- Relevant first aid or paediatric first aid qualification (or willingness to achieve).
- Experience working with children and young people, including early years.
- Customer-facing experience delivering high standards.
- Skilled in handling complaints, enquiries, and cash transactions.
- Strong IT skills, including Microsoft programmes and email.
- Excellent communication and customer engagement skills.
- Leadership, teamwork, and a proactive, ‘own it’ attitude.
- Flexible with shift patterns, including early mornings and late evenings.
- Committed to Futura Learning Partnership’s aims, equality, and professional development.
- Occasionally required to work outside normal hours with prior notice.
- Positive attitude, enjoys teamwork, and has a good sense of humour.
