KS3 Lead in English

Location: The Deanery CE Academy, Swindon (SN1 7DA)

Salary range: MPS/UPS (dependant on experience) + TLR 2B (£5,832)

Details of role: This is a full-time, permanent role, but we welcome part-time applications.

Role Overview: As the Lead of KS3 English, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our students by leading the development and implementation of a comprehensive curriculum across KS3. Your responsibilities will include:

• Curriculum Development: Designing and implementing an innovative KS3 curriculum that engages and inspires all students.

• Quality Assurance: Ensuring the highest standards of teaching and learning in KS3 English lessons through regular monitoring and evaluation.

• Leadership: Providing strong leadership and support to the English department, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.

• Professional Development: Supporting the professional growth of staff through mentoring, training, and sharing best practices.

• Community Engagement: Building strong relationships with students, parents, and the wider community to promote the importance of life long literacy.
