School Handyperson / Caretaker

The Park Academies Trust are looking to recruit a Caretaker across 3 Primary Schools with our Trust. Under the direction/instruction of the line manager the purpose of this post is to assist in the provision of maintenance, security and cleanliness of the school premises, sites, and environment and providing a safe working environment. This vacancy is a diverse role covering, but not limited to, three of our Trust schools as part of a team. The principle schools the job holder will be responsible for are Bridlewood Primary School, The Deanery CE Academy & Kingfisher CE Academy. 

Start Date: As soon as possible

Hours: 20 per week. This post is for 52 weeks and It is expected that annual leave will be split between term times and school holidays.

Salary: Trust Grade 7 – 10 (£25,600 – £28,457 gross per annum) £13,837 - £15,382 actual gross per annum.

How will you be the change?

As a School Caretaker, you'll play a vital role in ensuring the smooth running of the school premises ensuring a safe and well-maintained environment for staff and students, the role is active and will require multi skilled handyperson duties.

What does it take?

School experience isn’t necessary (preferable) but transferable ‘handy-man’ skills are essential. Caretaking experience is preferred, however similar experience will be accepted and knowledge of Health and Safety Regulations will also be beneficial.
