The Priory Learning Trust is looking to recruit a Food Technician to work at Worle Community School – An Academy in Weston-super-Mare. The candidate will also have strong attention to detail. This is a very exciting opportunity to join our fantastic highly skilled team based in Weston-super-Mare.

This role will be working 31.25 hours per week, term time only. The working hours are 8:45am – 3:30pm, Monday – Friday. This is a permanent position from 1 September 2021. The successful candidate will be required to attend a training day in July. Dates will be confirmed at interview.

What you will do:

• Working under the direction of class teacher(s), ensure that all required classroom or workroom resources and materials are available and ready for use when needed

• Assist the faculty with the development of teaching resources for use by teachers and students. Trial practical recipes and activities.

• Develop a general understanding of and respect for, the learning needs and preferences of students and use this knowledge constructively when supporting them individually or when working with groups.

About you:

• Level 2 NVQ in Catering and/or Textiles

• Experience working in a Catering or Textiles environment

• Ability and flexibility to manage changing priorities

• Enthusiastic in all aspects of work and training.
