Following the retirement of the current Headteacher we have a vacancy for an exceptional, ambitious Headteacher to lead Castle Batch Primary School from September 2026.

The role of Headteacher is central to the school’s vision for excellence, inclusion and ambition. As the school’s strategic leader, the Headteacher ensures that high quality teaching and learning sit at the heart of every decision, driving a culture where ambitious goals, strong pedagogy and evidence informed practice enable every child to thrive. They shape the school’s direction with clarity and purpose, empowering a skilled team, maintaining a relentless focus on pupil achievement, and ensuring that safeguarding, behaviour and attendance create a calm, purposeful learning environment.

Working closely with trust leaders and fellow Headteachers, the Headteacher translates the trust’s mission into meaningful action, fostering a collaborative, values driven community where pupils experience a rich, inclusive education every day.

You will be a talented and experienced leader with a proven record of achievement in primary education, bringing strategic thinking and the ability to create sustainable plans for now and the future. You will be a motivational leader who inspires staff and pupils alike, committed to our ambition and determined to support every child to make progress from their starting point.

This role involves working with children on a daily basis and is therefore in regulated activity.
