The Priory Learning Trust (Somerset Business Award winner for Employer of the Year 2023) is looking to recruit a Teacher to work at our Pawlett Primary School Academy– near Highbridge.

This is a fixed term role in a mixed year 2/3 class. We are a small, friendly rural school, in the heart of the village. We are dedicated to improving outcomes for all children and providing first-class pastoral and educational support for all, including those that find traditional teaching environments more challenging.

We are looking for an empathetic, compassionate and motivated member of staff who is passionate about improving outcomes for children and equal opportunities for all.

As part of this role, you will;

  • Deliver tuition in all subjects, following the National Curriculum.
  • Identify gaps in pupil's knowledge and target these areas of learning.
  • Help develop positive learning behaviours, work collaboratively with the existing teams.
  • Support children to be successful in our school and beyond.

What you will need to succeed;

  • QTS.
  • Experience of working with years 2 and 3 is preferred but not essential.
  • Ability to adhere to working procedures and policies within the school environment.
  • Commitment to raising aspiration and broadening horizons for all learners.
  • Passion about inclusion and enabling everybody to succeed.

This role involves working with children on a daily basis and is therefore in regulated activity.
