Job Title: Student Support

Actual Annual Salary: £19,393 - £21,138 (Based on hours and working weeks)

Full Time Equivalent Salary: £25,964 - £30,146 (CLF Grade B). Based on 37 hours per week, all year round.

Contract Type: Fixed term

Contract Length: Fixed until 29/08/2026 due to funding from an external source.

Hours: Part time, 32.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday

Additional role info: Working Pattern = Monday Friday (6.5 hours per day.)

We are looking for Student Support to support students by adopting relevant strategies and techniques to enable them to access the curriculum, engage with their learning and achieve their full potential.

You will demonstrate:

  • Knowledge and understanding of classroom roles and responsibilities and own position within these. 
  • Strong interpersonal skills, in particular demonstrates empathy and active listening.  
  • A keen interest in working with children and commitment to inclusion and acceptance of all. 
  • An understanding of, acceptance and commitment to the fundamental principles of equal opportunities. 
  • Evidence of a commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff to share this commitment.

The CLF Post 16 Academy is situated in South Gloucestershire, hosted at John Cabot Academy, and serves the students of Bristol across two local authorities. We are a centre of education for ages 16-19 offering a range of level 1, 2 and 3 vocational courses and a full breadth of A Level qualifications.
