St John's CofE Primary School currently have an exciting opportunity for a dedicated practitioner to join the team as a Temporary Teaching Assistant Level 2, supporting teaching staff with responsibility for the development and educational provision of learners.

Job overview

You’ll be responsible for assisting with planning, preparation and delivery of lesson provision, both on a whole-class and individual basis, preparing resources to support learning activities as well as ensuring pupils are supported pastorally. This will include support during lunchtimes. You’ll contribute to evaluating student progress and provide feedback to the class teacher to ensure all students’ learning needs are being met.

Job requirements

  • A minimum of 5 GCSEs at C grade or above, including English and Maths
  • Teaching Assistant qualification NVQ Level 2
  • At least 3 years experience of working in a primary school
  • Good written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work in tandem with teaching staff
  • Ability to be empathetic and understanding to the needs of pupils
  • Ability to worl well as part of a team and support our school ethos
  • Ability to work flexibly across the school to support the effective running of the school
