Class Teacher (Part-time)


Start Date: 1st January 2024

Salary: Teachers Main Scale

Contract: Fixed Term to 31.08.2024 subject to budget review

Hours: 19.5 hours per week (Monday to Wednesday)

Blackhorse Primary School is a successful and over-subscribed school with outstanding behaviour, curriculum, inclusion and leadership (OFSTED Feb 2018). The school has South Gloucestershire’s only Resource Base for 22 Autistic children and children with social, communication and language difficulties.

We are looking for a teacher who…

• Provides exceptional teaching in KS2, leading to better than expected attainment and progress outcomes.

• Has excellent subject knowledge and is able to teach a core curriculum which ensures that all children gain a secure mastery of Maths and English.

• Has high expectations for all children to succeed.

• Provide a wider curriculum which is creative, inspirational and rigorous

• Provide a fully inclusive classroom environment for children with a wide range of needs.

• Uphold the school’s outstanding behaviour expectations.

• Wants to build Champion Learners through; extensive opportunities, purposeful practice, expert tuition and instilling a belief in personal effort.

• Has boundless enthusiasm, endless patience and a love for the job.
