Salary: Grade 13: ÂŁ24,796 FTE (Actual Salary ÂŁ3,746.20 based on weeks worked and hours)

Contract: Permanent

Hours: 6 hours 40 minutes per week (Monday to Friday), Term Time only to exclude inset days (38 Weeks)

The Role:

Are you looking for a rewarding role where you can make a real difference in a child’s day? Sea Mills Primary School is seeking a dedicated and reliable Lunchtime Supervisor to join their hardworking and supportive staff team.

As a Lunchtime Supervisor, you will:

  • Supervise pupils during lunch times, including in the dining hall, playground, or classrooms
  • Encourage positive behaviour and social interaction
  • Assist with basic care needs where appropriate
  • Manage minor first-aid incidents and report concerns to senior staff
  • Follow school safeguarding and behaviour policies consistently
  • Ensure the safety, welfare, and wellbeing of all pupils at all times

We are looking for someone who will also:

  • Be enthusiastic, self-motivated, and have a positive ‘can-do’ attitude
  • Work well as part of a team while also using their own initiative
  • Communicate clearly and kindly with children and staff
  • Show warmth, care, and commitment to children’s safety and wellbeing
  • Remain calm and supportive in interactions with pupils
  • Support the school’s outdoor play approach, embracing our ‘whatever the weather’ ethos
  • Act as a helpful link between pupils, lunchtime staff, and teaching staff
  • Be willing to take part in training and professional development
  • Maintain confidentiality at all times

Fluency Duty 

This post is covered by Part 7 of the Immigration Act (2016) and therefore the ability to converse at ease with pupils, parents and other users and provide advice in accurate spoken English is essential for the post.
