JOB OVERVIEW

Hours: 25 hours a week, with the option of a term-time only with an additional four weeks contract or an all year round contract

Salary: Actual Salary on all year round- £25,227 - 27,985

Reporting to : Headteacher / Head of People - Employee Relations

St. Luke's is a vibrant, thriving and rapidly improving specialist school in Swindon, providing education for secondary-aged children with social, emotional and mental health needs. We have small class sizes, of between 4-8 students – very different to a mainstream school – but our students are worth it – and we are committed to helping each of our students reach their full potential.

An exciting opportunity is available for a  People Manager join our supportive team. The ideal candidate should be self-motivated, and enthusiastic. The successful candidate will have experience in a human resources role, preferably in education  and experience of using Microsoft Office applications. Experience dealing with employee relations case management would also be beneficial. Continuous training will be given to further enhance your development within the school.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

To provide a comprehensive and professional People support to the Headteacher, School Senior Leadership Team, Line Managers and Employees at the school, working closely with the School Senior Leadership Team, attending SLT meetings if required, to ensure the efficient operation of the school.

YOU WILL: 

  • Hold Professional Level 3 CIPD qualification or equivalent experience
  • At least two years’ experience of working in a HR environment
  • Well qualified and enthusiastic
  • Forward thinking, creative, receptive to change and able to work with the team.
  • Able to work towards deadlines.
  • Strong attention to detail.
