Whether you are developing your Leisure experience or joining the Leisure Sector now, we are looking for a Lifeguarding or Sports Assistant to take up the casual, flexible opportunity of Leisure Centre Assistant and deliver the aims of our sporting facility by providing a safe, positive customer experience in line with community, commercial and participation objectives.
Key responsibilities will include delivery of activity programmes and work schedules in line with the Leisure Centre’s needs. You will also be key in identifying and reporting any operational concerns to the Duty Management team, ensuring the facilities are safe, hygienic and fit for purpose. We want to make sure our leisure experiences for all visitors feels comfortable and safe.
This may be a casual opportunity, but it’s a varied and exciting one! Things to note:
Lifeguarding is a key aspect of this role, so an NPLQ Lifeguarding Qualification is essential.
You will have responsibility for managing allocated leisure areas and undertaking projects as directed by the Duty Management team
You will be responsible for ensuring that all activities conform to Child Protection (KCSIE) and any other relevant legislation
You will be required to take all reasonable care for Health & Safety requirements within defined areas of responsibility ensuring that the highest standards are met and that all risks are reported safely
