Thorpe CofE Primary School seeks an experienced Learning Support Assistant to provide support a child with SEND. The hours of work are 11.25 per week: Thursday and Friday between 8.40am and 3pm with an unpaid morning and lunch break. This is a term time only contract commencing ASAP.
Under the direction and supervision of the class teacher core responsibilities include:
- Working as an LSA in Yr2
- Following the instructions of the class teacher and SENCO
- Clarifying and explaining instructions
- Communicating effectively
- Motivating pupils to learn
- Organising the learning environment
Key Accountabilities will be:
- Assisting in the delivery of day to day learning activities
- Discussing with and reporting back to teacher on pupil’s work
- Organising and maintaining the learning environment
- Working as part of a team
- Maintaining confidentiality inside and outside the workplace
- Understanding and applying school policies

The LSA may be required to undertake any other reasonable tasks as required by the class teacher
