Governance Professional to TCAT Board of Trustees
School: Queen Elizabeth High School
Start Date: 1st October 2026 or before
Contract: Permanent, Part time, 65 hours per annum
Salary: Grade Scale TC04 (scale point 4-6)
Three Counties Academy Trust (TCAT) includes the Queen Elizabeth High School, St Peter’s Primary School, Bredenbury Primary School, Stoke Prior Primary School and Lugwardine Primary Academy.
TCAT are looking to appoint an organised and proactive governance professional to provide a range of high-quality clerical, secretarial and administrative support to the Board of Trustees and its committees. Working together with our Chair of Trustees, our governance professional will be responsible for coordinating all aspects of governance effectiveness and compliance within the Trust, ensuring governance adheres to good practice and meets all statutory and regulatory requirements. This will include providing legislative and procedural guidance, drafting agendas, keeping records of membership, training, and attendance across the Trust’s governance structure.
Please note that termly governance meetings are scheduled outside of school/office working hours to accommodate our governance volunteers. The specific arrangements regarding working hours will be discussed and agreed with the successful applicant.
The successful candidate(s) will have:
• Governance Professional qualification or working towards
• Good general communication skills
• Excellent, accurate, and concise writing skills
• Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft 365
• Good organisational skills – able to prioritise workload
• Excellent record keeping, information retrieval and dissemination of governing body data/documentation
• Tact, diplomacy, confidentiality and sensitivity
• Ability to use appropriate IT equipment as required by the governing body
• Experience of setting up virtual meetings via MS Teams
• An ability to speak with confidence and accuracy, using accurate sentence structures and vocabulary.
