About the School

Lugwardine Primary Academy is part of Three Counties Academy Trust (TCAT), which also includes Queen Elizabeth High School and four local primary schools.

The academy serves families in the villages of Bartestree and Lugwardine. We are a fully inclusive school with happy and enthusiastic children, highly motivated staff and a supportive Governing Body. The Role

We are seeking an enthusiastic, reliable and well-motivated Breakfast & After School Assistant to support the delivery of high-quality wraparound care.

Working under the direction of the Club Supervisor and Headteacher, you will help create a safe, structured and engaging environment where children can enjoy play activities and social interaction before and after the school day. The role includes supervising activities, supporting children’s wellbeing, preparing healthy snacks and light meals, administering first aid where appropriate, and contributing to a positive and inclusive setting.

You will work closely with colleagues as part of a small team to ensure the smooth day-to-day running of the provision and help maintain high standards in line with school policies and national guidance.

What We’re Looking For

  • NVQ Level 2 (or equivalent) or willingness to work towards
  • Knowledge of National Standards
  • Ability to build positive relationships with children
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team
  • Organised and reliable approach to work
  • First Aid qualification or willingness to undertake training
  • Food hygiene certificate or willingness to undertake training
  • ICT skills
  • Understanding of Equal Opportunities
  • Commitment to supporting the ethos of the school
