The Tiffin Girls’ School is looking for a Careers Lead to provide an outstanding programme of student-focused Careers education, information, advice and guidance (CEIAG). The students are highly aspirational and have a keen eye on their education and life beyond school. We do all that we can to empower them to choose wisely, and to assist them in becoming leaders and socially responsible citizens of the future.

You will be the school’s strategic Careers lead, ensuring we meet the Gatsby Benchmarks, and that our students are best prepared for future choices in education, training and employment. While you will have a particular focus on supporting Year 10 students with one to one careers guidance, you will also work closely with the Sixth Form, Pastoral team and Heads of Department, ensuring that all students have access to the best advice and guidance possible. This may be delivered through a range of assemblies, group activities and guidance, as well as aspirational general careers and progression activities throughout the year. This will include setting up, managing and chairing our regular evening ‘Tiffin Talks’ which focus on wide-ranging career paths.

Ideally applicants will hold a Level 6 CEIAG qualification, and have recent relevant experience in a similar field. Candidates who have experience of assisting students in entry to competitive courses and careers will be at an advantage.

The school offers the opportunity to join the Local Government Pension Scheme and a commitment to your continuing personal development and training in an environment that encourages excellence, creativity and diversity.

The Tiffin Girls’ School is ideally situated just fifteen minutes’ walk from Kingston upon Thames town centre and mainline station (Zone 6). For further details about our school and the role, please visit our website.
