We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic and inspirational Lead Practitioner of Science to be part of a team dedicated to delivering first-class learning for every student. You will join an ambitious Science team who are passionate in their commitment to improving attainment and are at a very exciting point in their improvement journey. 

This post offers an excellent opportunity to be part of the school’s exciting upward journey. As a Lead Practitioner, you will also have whole school responsibilities in raising standards and improving outcomes through improving the quality of Teaching and Learning by way of high quality CPD. 

Candidates will be talented, dynamic and will challenge and motivate our students to get the very best meaningful outcomes.

 Job Purpose:

To improve outcomes for all students by raising standards of teaching and learning throughout Tor Bridge High.

To play a leading and highly visible role in the improvement of teaching and learning across the school through embedding a culture of instructional coaching for improvement.

The candidate will: 

  • Be an experienced and outstanding Teacher of Science with the drive and capacity to really thrive in this role; 
  • Have a clear vision of how to improve standards in Science and across the school; 
  • Be able to motivate and inspire students. You will be relentless in the pursuit of the highest standards of progress for every student, regardless of their ability; 
  • Be resilient, hard-working, solution-focused, and committed to transforming student outcomes;
  • We provide constant, high quality CPD and all staff are passionate about sharing good practice.
