We are looking to appoint an exceptional individual who can work in partnership with the Headteacher and Senior Leadership Team. This post offers an exciting and unique opportunity for an inspirational leader responsible for changing the life chances of students at TBH and leading the next phase in the school's journey

As a Senior Deputy Headteacher, you will have whole-school responsibility for leading innovation and transforming the curriculum to ensure it is implicit in raising standards and improving outcomes, through outstanding teaching & learning, assessment, and coaching.

Candidates will be driven, talented, dynamic, and will challenge and motivate our staff and students to get the very best aspirational outcomes.

Job Purpose:

  • Support the Headteacher in developing and implementing the vision and strategic direction of Tor Bridge High. 
  • Develop an unapologetically, outstanding and ambitious curriculum which meets the needs of all students.
  • Ensure that teaching and learning is inspiring, innovative, engaging and adapted to meet the needs of all students. Creating a culture of excellence in all areas of teaching and learning
  • Provide guidance, support and mentorship to staff to foster their professional growth and development
  • Designing and delivering innovative professional development programs, implementing best practice in teaching methodologies and promoting collaborative learning environments
  • Be responsible for monitoring and evaluating the performance of students and teaching staff, and lead the formation and delivery of improvement strategies where required. 
  • Develop and implement an ambitious framework which enables all students to make excellent progress as well as developing their leadership, confidence and resilience. 
  • Support the Headteacher in the day-to-day leadership of the school, deputising for them as required. 
  • Provide strategic leadership for overseeing and embedding quality and standards in teaching, learning and assessment across Tor Bridge High. 
  • Set high expectations for staff and students by modelling the highest of standards and being visible

  • Be able to motivate and inspire students and staff. You will be relentless in the pursuit of the highest standards of progress for every student, regardless of their ability;
