We are seeking a talented, enthusiastic and committed teaching assistant to join our dedicated and nurturing team of staff. Henllys is a highly successful Church in Wales School situated in Cwmbran. Our aim is to provide an outstanding education, rooted in the Christian faith and values, where all learners are able to reach their full potential. Applicants will work to support pupils aged between 4 and 11. They should be reliable, resilient and flexible and work well as part of a team. All applicants should possess the following:
- Be able to work under the instruction and guidance of teaching and/or members of the school leadership team.
- Be able to support individuals and groups of pupils to enable access to learning.
- To assist the teacher in the management of pupils within the classroom and beyond.
- Experience of working with children, including those with additional learning needs;
- Ability to support pupils' emotional wellbeing and development
- The ability to follow instruction and have a desire to further their professional development;
- Enthusiasm and a conscientious approach.

This post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974. A comprehensive screening process will be undertaken on all applicants which will include an Enhanced check with the Disclosure and Barring Service.
As part of the process, shortlisted candidates will be subject to a small group observation prior to the interview.
