Pastoral Support Officer - St Alban’s RC High School
Contract Term: 1 Year Fixed Term
Salary: NJC 5 SCP: 11-17 £25,979 to £28,770 (pro rata)
Hours: 32.5 hrs per week/39 weeks per year (includes Inset days)
The Governing Body are looking to appoint a Pastoral Support Officer to join our Wellbeing Team within our Wellbeing Hub called ‘The Sanctuary’. The successful candidate will work under guidance: provide support in addressing the needs of pupils who need support to overcome barriers to learning. The role will support individuals and groups of pupils to enable access to learning.
The successful candidates will have:
• At least two years recent experience working with school aged children, families, schools and/or other agencies;
• An understanding of effective strategies to close the educational achievement gap for eFSM students and vulnerable learners;
• Be able to demonstrate excellent oral and written communications and be able to analyse and interpret data
• Experience of dealing with sensitive information and maintaining strict confidentiality;
• Patient, flexible and adaptable, meticulous and conscientious.
• Ability to manage own time effectively.
