School Meals Supervisory Assistant (SMSA)

We wish to appoint an enthusiastic and committed SMSA for maternity cover, starting as soon as possible for 1hour 25mins  per day (11:45-13:10), term-time only at our Meadway site. 

The post holder would be responsible for:

• Supervising children over lunchtime to ensure their safety and well-being;
• Managing the behaviour of children throughout the lunchtime effectively in line with our school’s behaviour policy; and
• Actively encouraging enjoyable and purposeful play for all pupils during lunchtime.

The successful candidate will be:

• Committed to team working;
• Able to actively lead games, encourage safe play and foster social skills in children; and
• Have a strong and enthusiastic commitment to children’s safety and welfare and to the aims and values of the school.
