Trinity Academy is a highly oversubscribed free school that opened in 2019. We are a values based community that focuses on the learning of all students and staff, that cares deeply for our young people and each other and that is committed to co-curricular enrichment. Our stated goal is to be a +1 school for progress and as such, we are looking for a highly motivated, professional and well qualified Peripatetic Piano teacher and leader to join us in our mission.
We are a music specialist school which means:
● 10% of our students gain entrance to the school through a music aptitude test ● All year 7 students are offered a free instrument and heavily discounted lessons
● All year 7 and 8 students sing in a weekly choir
● Key Stage 3 students receive 2 weekly 50 minute lessons
● A third of our students have instrumental/vocal lessons, 40 of them are on drums and we now have a waiting list.
● Complete support from the Headteacher, the Leadership team and the Trust in prioritising music
Applicants should hold the equivalent of teaching diploma, Conservatoire/University performance degree qualification or have a proven track record of excellence.
This is a self-employed position with approximately 3 hours work per week at a rate of £39 per hour. The work could expand as student numbers grow and we would support you with recruiting new students in September.
