Engineering Skills & Development Co-Ordinator (Truro)
£28,990 - £29,961 per annum

We are looking for an enthusiastic engineer to join our rapidly growing team. This is an exciting opportunity to work in our new engineering and manufacturing training center, which opened in March 2021. This role will centre on the delivery of apprenticeships, including taking a lead on assessing in the workplace, liaising with employers and assisting learners in their development. In addition you may be involved with delivering programmes for apprentices and/or and vocational learners along with the responsibility for further developing our qualifications and commercial business in this sector.

The ideal candidate will have an engineering background in either mechanical, precision or aerospace manufacturing alongside knowledge of computer-aided manufacturing and computer aided design. An understanding of ISO900 or AS9100 and engineering quality assurance would be an advantage, as would previous experience of welding and fabrication processes. Ideally, you would have relevant and recent teaching and industrial experience, hold A1 assessor status (or equivalent) or be willing to work towards this. You will be familiar with awarding bodies such as EAL and C&G, have good understanding of modern manufacturing technology and processes and an ability to motivate, support and encourage learners at all levels. A full clean driving license and your own transport is essential, as a significant part of the role will be to visit employers and apprentices in the workplace.

We offer a generous package with benefits including up to 28 days annual leave plus bank holidays and College closure days, LGPS pension scheme, relocation package, free on-site parking and a variety of on-site benefits and discounts.

CLOSING DATE: 12 NOON, THURSDAY 21 OCTOBER 2021
Curriculum Vitae are not accepted, Application Forms only.
Successful candidates will be notified within 4 weeks of the closing date.
