Are you passionate about creating inclusive opportunities for young people with additional learning needs?

Do you thrive on building strong partnerships with employers to open doors for every learner? If so, we want to hear from you.

Truro and Penwith College is seeking a dynamic and dedicated Industry Engagement Consultant (Inclusive Learning & SEND) to join our Industry Engagement team. This is a vital role, focused on bridging the gap between education and employment for learners with Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs), high needs, or additional learning requirements.

What You'll Do:

• Develop and nurture partnerships with local and regional employers across Cornwall.

• Create meaningful and accessible work placements, industry talks and employer-led events.

• Champion inclusive employer engagement across college pathways such as Personal and Professional Development (PPD), Young ESOL and Progression Pathways.

• Collaborate with tutors and curriculum teams to ensure every opportunity aligns with learners’ goals and Preparing for Adulthood outcomes.

• Act as a key contact for bespoke training, apprenticeships, and work-based learning tailored to inclusive learning cohorts.

What We're Looking For:

• A strong communicator with the confidence to engage with employers and stakeholders at all levels.

• A passion for inclusion, with experience supporting learners with SEND or high needs.

• Proven ability to coordinate multiple projects and adapt to the needs of diverse learners.

• A proactive, partnership-driven approach to widening participation and removing barriers to employment.

This is an exciting opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of learners while contributing to the future workforce of Cornwall.

We offer a generous package with benefits including up to 28 days annual leave plus bank holidays and College closure days, LGPS pension scheme, relocation package, free on-site parking and a variety of on-site benefits and discounts.
