We require an Apprentice Learning Support Assistant to join Goodwin Academy to provide support in learning for our Key Stage 3 and 4 students.
The principal responsibilities of this post are to enable students to access learning by supervising and assisting them (one to one and in small groups) across a wide range of activities and supported learning.
The right candidates for the roles may have previous experience of working within an education environment or have a strong urge to work with young people to support their physical and mental wellbeing. You will also possess excellent written and communication skills. Training and support will be continually provided to enable you to develop into your role and complete your apprenticeship.
The ideal candidates will have high levels of motivation, energy and commitment with a reflective approach to the role and the ability to work to build positive relationships with students and their parents/carers. The suitable candidates will be able to demonstrate that they can work as both part of a team and contribute to the effective organisation of the school with administrative support.
At Goodwin, we are committed to transforming the life chances of our students, ensuring that all are supported and encouraged to achieve their personal best. We deliver this through the BEST Agenda - ‘Be Your Best’ with BEST being an acronym for:
B = Brilliance, where students will be supported to be brilliant in everything they do.
E = Enrichment, where students will encounter a variety of educational opportunities outside of the classroom.
S = Society, where students will be encouraged to develop as responsible, active and informed world citizens, demonstrating mutual respect, empathy and community spirit.
T = Thinking, where students will join a global community of thinkers.
We are part of the Thinking Schools Academy Trust (TSAT) which is made up of a family of schools working together to improve the life chances of young people.
