Office Manager

Salary: Pay Group 4: £22,290 – £26,460 (based on FTE of £23,817-£28,273)

Start Date: September 2022

Hours: 37 hours per week, 42 weeks per year

Contract: Permanent

We have an exciting opportunity for an Office Manager to join The Gordon Children’s Academy & All Faiths Children’s Academy in Strood. The role provides administrative and organisation support to the Executive Headteacher, Headteacher and the Schools.

We are dedicated to school improvement and we all aim to provide a happy, safe and fun school environment for the children, and our staff too. We have high expectations of behaviour and we recognise that it is our responsibility to listen to the children verbally or by interpreting their behaviour. Pupils are proud of their school and have an exciting environment around them to learn in, we encourage use of a creative curriculum and all children enjoy decorating their classroom whilst they focus on a particular topic across the curriculum.

What you will need to succeed:

  • Working across both sites, these are busy offices and you will need to have the ability to cope with conflicting demands, deadlines and interruptions.
  • You will be able to work to tight deadlines in a methodical manner observing confidentiality at all times.
  • Excellent administration skills, with a high level of efficiency, accuracy and confidentiality
  • Ability to be flexible
  • Knowledge and experience of using SIMs to ensure that all information is accurate and up to date
  • Experience of supervising staff and delegating duties
  • An ability to work with minimal supervision and direction as well as multi task and use initiative
  • Previous experience of working in a school or other education environment is essential
