Teaching Assistant
Salary: TSAT Pay Group 2 £14,423 - £17,034 for hours and weeks stated (£20,252 - £23,918 FTE)
Start date: As soon as possible
Contract: Fixed Term until 31/08/2023
Hours: 30 hours per week (Monday-Friday- 8:30am-3:00pm with a 30 min lunch break) Term time + 5 INSET days
Closing Date: 19/02/2023

New Horizons Primary School is currently seeking to appoint a Teaching Assistant on a Fixed Term contract. We are looking for someone who has the drive, passion and skills to work at our primary academy based in Portsmouth.
You will be willing to take the opportunity to play a full part in the further development of our school and join us in our aims to make learning irresistible and to provide a nurturing and safe environment for everyone.
You will hold a relevant NVQ Level 2 or higher childcare qualification, and excellent literacy and numeracy skills (GCSE or equivalent, Grade C or above).

- Provide teaching and learning to our students with the support of the Classroom Teacher
- Coaching children on a 1:1 or group basis
- Ability to inspire, challenge and motivate
- Committed to supporting pupils to reach their full potential
- Effective communicator both orally and in writing
- Excellent organisational and administrative skills
- Good ICT skills
- Understanding of the educational system and current developments
