32.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 8.45am-3.45pm. Term time only plus 6 Inset days, Fixed term to cover Maternity leave.
Salary: £31,586 - £34,314 per annum (full time equivalent), actual salary £23,863 - £25,925 per annum, plus generous sick pay and pension scheme.
About Us:
Two Bridges Academy opened in September, and in our first five months we have begun to establish exceptional educational experiences for our pupils. We are now entering our next phase of growth, as pupil numbers increase in September.
We specialise in supporting young people with severe learning disabilities (SLD) or profound and multiple learning disabilities (PMLD). Pupils may also have co-existing conditions such as autistic spectrum condition (ASC) or complex medical needs.
We are looking for Teaching Assistants who understand the needs of pupils with these complex SEND needs and share our passion for fostering a learning environment which nurtures, challenges and celebrates every pupil.
Role overview:
As a Teaching Assistant, you will have a vital role in making a positive impact on the lives of our students and their families. Working alongside the class teacher and the classroom support team, you will help implement our holistic curriculum, which is designed to support students in achieving their planned goals, improving communication and social skills, accessing therapeutic support, and overcoming barriers to learning.
You will be an key member of the class support team, providing both direction and support, while maintaining high standards of teaching and fostering an engaging learning environment.
You will be able to develop relationships with families and to share with them the steps of their child’s educational journey.
