1.0 FTE Lecturer in Supported Learning (Learners with Learning Difficulties and/or Disabilities)

Full time, Permanent, 35 hours per week

An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Department of Supported Learning. We are seeking to appoint a committed and suitably qualified Lecturer in Supported Learning. The role will be to tutor and teach groups of young adults with learning difficulties and/or disabilities, it will be based at our Maida Vale Campus.

To be successful in this role, you will have experience of delivering a structured educational programme to students with profound and complex needs following a sensory and developmental curriculum, including intensive interaction.  You will have the ability to work flexibly as part of a multi-agency team to ensure high levels of responsiveness to students’ needs, and the ability to offer stimulating, stretching and individualised teaching to a consistently high standard. You will be able to deliver accredited learning, and meet awarding body and internal moderation requirements.  You will have excellent communication, and organisational skills, and a positive approach to problem solving and innovation.

You will hold a recognised Level 5/6 teaching qualification (PGCE/CertEd) or achieve a Level 5 Diploma in Education and Training / PGCE within 3 years of appointment.
