JOB OVERVIEW

At USP College, we are looking for a passionate Teacher of Creative Media and Digital Art to deliver high quality, creative and engaging lessons while successfully supporting and inspiring our students. As part of our energetic, focused and creative team, you will enthuse and motivate students to strive for success in media related careers and progression.

The media area is an expanding area at USP College. There is considerable growth expected this academic year, in both the A level Media and UAL Creative Media and Games Design Level 3 courses. We also run an HND Creative Media, UAL Creative Enterprise Level 4 diploma and will be starting a Level 3 E-sports course this September. We will be opening a third campus on Canvey, which will enable curriculum delivery in state of the art virtual reality studios.

As a prospective member of the Creative Arts team at USP College, you should be a subject specialist who will inspire and motivate your students to exceed their aspirations. You will be expected to teach across a range of creative subject’s that could include; UAL Media Production and Games Design from level 2 to level 5. You will also have a course leadership role within the creative arts area.

You will have the opportunity to work alongside experienced teachers, to observe and share best practice on a regular basis, developing pedagogy through reflection. You will be able to build positive relationships with young people and support them to achieve their long term career goals. You will be able to use your expertise and emotional intelligence to unlock barriers to your students’ progress and provide the tools, support and challenge they need to go forwards.  JOB REQUIREMENTS:

QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) or currently enrolled on a post-16 teaching qualification

Experienced industry based individuals will be considered and given the opportunity to secure a role leading to the completion of a recognised post-16 teaching qualification.

A Good relevant Honours Degree or H.E qualification.
