We are seeking to appoint full time or part time Communication Support Workers to provide support for deaf and hard of hearing students at Uxbridge College (Uxbridge and Hayes campuses).

You will ensure that deaf and hard of hearing students are supported in class and are able to gain maximum access to the curriculum. You will promote awareness of the support services within the college and encourage awareness of the needs of deaf and hard of hearing learners with both staff and students.

You should be qualified to a minimum of British Sign Language Level 3, possess good signing skills and have experience of working with deaf and/or hard of hearing people, ideally in an educational environment. Good team working skills and a flexible approach to meeting the needs of all students are also required.

Please note, we are unable to offer sponsorship for this role.

Applications will be shortlisted and interviewed on a rolling basis. We therefore encourage you to apply at the earliest opportunity to avoid disappointment.

Please note: for individuals who start a term time only role after 1st September, the salary will be pro-rated from the start date to the end of this academic year (31st August 2026). This ensures that the correct entitlement to pay and holiday pay relative to the portion of the year worked. This will be paid in equal monthly instalments until 31 August. The salary will revert to the normal arrangements as stated in the advert at the start of the following academic year.
