The School of Technical Apprenticeships successfully prepares and supports apprentices in a wide range of careers, meeting the latest industry standards. We are seeking an enthusiastic and skilled individual to join our successful team, based at Uxbridge College.

You would teach across a range of courses in Electrical and Electronic Engineering, including Level 2 Foundation Competence, Level 3 Development Knowledge (BTEC/Technical Certificate) and Level 3 Electrical Engineering qualifications.

You will need to possess a degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or related area, and have some teaching, training or assessing experience in the subject area, and will also be able to demonstrate the following:

• Knowledge and experience of Electrical Principles CAD- Fluid Sim/MultisSIM

• Practical experience of working in an electrical/electronic engineering workshop using wiring and testing equipment

• Ability to deliver a range of technical subjects in Electrical/ Electronic, PLC, Designing and Testing electronics circuits and Control and Computer Engineering such as embedded systems, Automation and control systems

You will also have good communication skills and be able to engage and motivate young learners aged 16-19.

We will support you to develop your career in teaching, including fully funding the Level 5 teacher training qualification.

You will be required to travel off-site to employers’ premises in the local area when required.
