SEND Teaching Assistant
About the Opportunity: We are looking for two creative, dedicated, and flexible SEND Teaching Assistants to join our supportive team. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real difference to the lives of children and young people with additional needs.
About the Role: Working across a year group, you will be providing tailored support for pupils with special educational needs. Working closely with teachers, the SENDCo, and external professionals, you will help deliver, monitor, and review Learning Plans. Duties include supporting pupils’ academic, social, and emotional development, adapting resources, supervising during breaktimes, and being responsive to changing needs.
About You: We seek someone who is creative, resilient, flexible and positive, with a good understanding of how children with SEND learn. You must be able to form strong relationships, support inclusion and safeguarding, and lead small group activities. Experience working with children in an educational setting is essential.
Professional Development: We offer high-quality training in TA apprenticeships, safeguarding, SEND strategies (including Autism and SEMH), communication approaches (Makaton, PECS), and positive behaviour support (Team Teach). There are also opportunities for career progression.
