OVERVIEW OF THE SCHOOL AND THE ROLE:

The Warwick School is an ambitious, forward thinking 11 to 16 school, serving the Redhill area.

This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled, enthusiastic and ambitious teacher to lead our dynamic and committed Humanities Faculty from January 2021. This is a permanent contract. The successful candidate will work within this supportive environment to contribute to the success of our students and the development of the curriculum area up to Key stage 4.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

• Planning and delivering exciting and stimulating lessons to KS3 and KS4

• Working with the existing team to provide the highest standards of learning experiences

• Have a second-class honours degree, or higher, or equivalent qualification

• Have experience of work in a successful department

• Have experience of effecting innovative practice within school

• Understand what constitutes an effective curriculum and co-curriculum and plan accordingly to provide stimulating opportunities for learning to occur in diverse ways

• Experience of teaching KS3 & KS4

• Sound understanding of the Humanities Curriculum

• Knowledge of best practice and procedures for safeguarding young people

• Have a full working knowledge of current, relevant legislation, codes of practice and policies at a national and local authority level

• QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) with a good relevant degree

• Passionate about the development of the next generation of thinkers, researchers, creators and leaders

• Highly skilled and knowledgeable in the current curriculum, its delivery and the latest pedagogy.
