Office Assistant Apprenticeship 

Contract: 18 Months/ Monday to Friday 8:30am to 15:15pm /33.75 hours Per Week

Salary: Apprenticeship Wage- £145.13 per week

The Role

To support the School Office Manager and Administration Assistant with a range of administration tasks.

These are to include amongst others:

To deal with all customer contact effectively, and courteously, including greeting and dealing with visitors and taking telephone calls

Phoning parents with messages

Preparing letters and other communications to be sent to parents

Chasing up registers to ensure school registers are complete

To provide a range of clerical duties including photocopying, sending emails, filing, message-taking, sorting and distributing post, etc.

To assist with the organisation of meetings and events, ensuring that all necessary arrangements are made

Preparing management documents as required

Maintaining stationery stocks, and reordering where necessary

Depending on aptitude and experience, other duties may include updating child records, entering purchase requests, placing routine orders

To undertake any duties requested, including playground duties

To comply with the procedures relating to child protection, health, safety and security, confidentiality and report concerns to an appropriate person

Any other appropriate duties under the direction of the line manager for the placement, applicable to the grade and qualifications of the post
