At Wellesley Park Primary School, we believe that happiness is the key to success. Our children work within a happy and caring environment where their individual needs are met and talents nurtured.
Our aim is that all of our children enjoy success at primary school, so we set high expectations and provide support to ensure they receive the best education.
We are pleased that the hard work and dedication of our staff team was recognized by OFSTED. What the inspection team, and all visitors to our school, noticed was that pupils’ self-confidence is nurtured as a priority from the early years. Interactions and the relationships established between staff and pupils consistently reinforce this approach across the academy. Pupils are encouraged to ‘have a go’ and become active in their own learning.
VISIONS AND VALUES
At Wellesley Park Primary, all staff have worked collaboratively, to consider and consolidate our school’s purpose. Where are we going, how are we getting there and how we ensure the best possible outcomes for all of our children whilst reinforcing our school motto of: “Reaching for Success Together”.
Our school values are:
Respect Resilience Integrity Tolerance Responsibility Excellence
These will form the themes for our weekly whole school assemblies, weekly class reflection times and general discussion points throughout the day. We will also celebrate individual pupils’ ability to demonstrate these values, through the presentation of ‘Super Student’ award certificates, in our whole school celebration assemblies.
Our whole school community supports our vision, reflecting the school’s ethos whilst enabling our pupils to flourish and thrive.
The Blackdown Education Partnership is a multi-academy trust (MAT) working across Devon and Somerset. It was born of a merger between two established MATs: The Castle Partnership Trust and Uffculme Academy Trust and currently looks after a family of 12 schools: 6 primary and 6 secondary and 4 nurseries.
Blackdown Education Partnership is, therefore, a single organisation established to deliver the education and to safeguard the wellbeing of every child in our Trust. The Trust seeks to ensure that high quality collaboration and system leadership continue to improve the education in our schools. We are responsible for the good governance of the schools within our Trust and are accountable for the performance of each school. We work with an exceptional team of leaders, teachers and support staff whose combined efforts deliver on our promise to believe in every child.
