The purpose of the post is: to support and teach students with a range of learning disabilities from pre-entry on supported internships at GSK Brentford or London Borough of Hounslow (LBH) or enabling them to find employment. You may also be required to teach a range of students with SEND in our Supported Learning department at Isleworth.

You will work within the Supported Learning Programme, delivering the core curriculum within Supported Learning.

You will work with interns to identify strengths, interests, and abilities related to skill acquisition, job development and placement.

Working closely with the host business staff you will ensure the interns deliver the employer’s requirements. You will be responsible for monitoring and recording student attendance and maintaining high quality records that satisfy project verification processes.

You will be required to work as part of a team with job coaches and support staff to ensure positive outcomes for your interns. You will be responsible for ensuring your interns take responsibility for informing their host business department of absences/lateness and encouraging them to adopt work friendly practices to include appropriate dress and social communication.
