LEVEL 2 – SEN Teaching Assistant

Salary: Grade 4 Pay Point 7-10 (FTE salary £26,403-£28,142 per annum)

£20,015-£21,333 (pro rota)

Hours: 32.5 per week - 39 weeks per year (38 weeks + 1-week training)

West Gate School is a popular, over-subscribed special school for 4 – 19-year-olds. We cater for children and young people with a wide range special needs. Many of pupils are neurodiverse, with some pupils having additional learning, physical or health needs. You can access a wealth of additional information from our school website.

We warmly welcome applications from dedicated and motivated individuals to our friendly, supportive school community. The role will include supporting the learning and care needs of pupils across a broad spectrum of special needs. We offer a comprehensive training and induction package, the opportunity to develop a range of skills and the chance to have a positive impact on the lives of our amazing pupils. Experience of working in this field is desirable, but not essential. A positive and caring attitude is just as important.
