Westonbirt School is looking to recruit an enthusiastic and organised Science Technician to join our  Science Department, providing technical and practical support to teaching and learning across the  department. Previous experience in a school laboratory would be advantageous, however we  welcome applications from candidates with relevant experience in other environments.

The Science Department:

The Science Department aims to engender a passion for all of the sciences, by delivering a rich and  varied curriculum, and co-curriculum. We follow the Pearson Edexcel IGCSE at KS4, whilst for A Level,  students study the Edexcel specifications for Chemistry and Physics, and OCR (A) for  Biology. The BTEC Extended Certificate in Agriculture is also offered at KS5. Beyond the classroom we  offer a wide range of clubs and activities, including beekeeping and conservation, witchcraft and  wizardry, cosmetics, astronomy, electronic and electrical engineering, STEM film club, Formula 24,  the physics of music, and more... The accommodation in Science is comprised of 6 large labs, and one  smaller (6th form) one. All 7 labs are equipped with TV screens and whiteboards, and are serviced by  2 well-resourced prep rooms and excellent technicians.
