An opportunity has arisen at The Tynings Primary School for an enthusiastic and committed SENCO to join our team and contribute positively to our wider school environment by taking a strategic role in improving outcomes for some of our most vulnerable pupils.
You will be supportive and welcoming to pupils, staff and parents, and play a significant part in the ongoing development of all areas of the children’s education.
Importantly you will commit to ‘Learning through beauty and excellence’ and enable our SEN children to learn with Deliberate Botherdness, Modelling Marvelousness to Unleash Their Greatness.
The successful candidate will:-
✅ Hold qualified teacher status
✅ Have a sound knowledge of the SEND code of practice, and be experienced in meeting it’s requirements
✅ Understanding of what makes ‘quality first’ teaching, and of effective intervention strategies
✅ Be motivated to make a real difference
✅ Commitment to building positive relationships with all stakeholders
✅ Ability to work collaboratively with all members of the school team and wider community
✅ Ability to use data and assessments to note areas for improvement and sustaining positive educational outcomes
✅ Be a positive role model
✅ Share a positive vision of children’s education and development
✅ Have a real desire to be a part of a hardworking, supportive and creative team
✅ Have high expectations of learning and behaviour

This post is covered by Part 7 of the Immigration Act (2016) and therefore the ability to converse at ease with pupils, parents and other users and provide advice in accurate spoken English is essential for the post.
