Primary Phase Head of EYFS

Fixed term contract, commencing September 2024.

Salary – Competitive, based upon the United Learning pay scale (£32,850 to £48,050 plus an allowance of £3836.06 per annum)

The Primary Phase of William Hulme’s Grammar School (WHGS) is one of the most over-subscribed primary schools in Manchester. We have an excellent reputation and high aspirations for all of our children, who enjoy a broad and balanced diverse curriculum and are equipped with the skills that will help them to become responsible members of the local and global community.

This is an exciting time to join the school as we continue our journey of moving to exceptional. We are looking for an outstanding, hardworking and inspirational Head of EYFS to join our dedicated team of staff from September 2024, to promote excellence in teaching and learning. The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate that they:

  • Are innovative and highly motivated.
  • Are committed to leading the planning, delivery, and assessment of the EYFS curriculum, ensuring alignment with statutory requirements and best practice guidelines.
  • Will provide effective leadership and management of the EYFS team, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation and continuous improvement.
  • To lead on the provision of professional development opportunities for EYFS staff, ensuring they have the knowledge, skills, and resources to deliver high-quality provision.
  • Have excellent interpersonal skills and the commitment to work as part of a team.
  • Be a supportive colleague and play a full part as a key member of a team.
  • Be able to work with parents and carers in providing excellent support.
