We are looking for a cleaner to join our school. William Morris has a growing staff team – we are happy group and very supportive of one another. Everyone works hard to give the best education and environment for the children.
The successful candidate will work for 10 hours a week on Monday to Fridays outside of school hours (between 3-6pm) during term time, plus 5 Inset days and 2 weeks worth of hours during periods of school closure (dates to be confirmed but likely to be in the school Summer holidays). This will be a permanent contract for 41 working weeks per annum (46.93 paid weeks) paid on NJC grade J2 (£10.61 per hour depending on experience).
The successful applicant will:
- Have experience of cleaning (domestic or commercial)
- Be able to manage time effectively to complete tasks to a high level
- Take pride in a job well done
- Be able to work with minimum supervision
- Treat students and staff with courtesy and respect, whilst ensuring a safe, clean environment
Duties will include:
- Daily classroom and shared area cleaning
- Maintaining bathroom cleanliness
- Mopping hard floors and vacuuming carpeted areas
- Emptying bins
- Loading and unloading dishwasher
- Be able to manage time effectively to complete tasks to a high level
