Your Role in Building Brighter Futures
As an After School Club Leader at Willowdown Primary School, you will play a key role in contributing to the delivery of Futura’s mission: “Building the brightest future for all, enabling every individual to flourish.” We are looking for someone who is passionate about living our values and making a positive impact on all the young people in our Trust.
Willowdown Primary School is a rapidly developing and expanding school in Bridgwater with a vibrant, inclusive ethos. We are proud of our dedicated team who nurture each child and deliver an engaging, creative, and inspiring curriculum. As After School Club Leader, you will be responsible for:
- Providing a safe, inclusive, and caring environment for children aged 4 to 11 during our after-school provision.
- Delivering engaging and creative activities that support children’s wellbeing and development.
- Leading and supervising children to ensure their safety, engagement, and enjoyment.
- Championing the school’s values while contributing to the wider wraparound care offer.
What You’ll Bring to Futura
We are looking for a motivated and caring After School Club Leader who:
Qualifications: Ideally has experience working with primary-aged children and delivering engaging activities; experience teaching whole classes is beneficial.
Experience: Background in wraparound care, education, or a similar setting is helpful.
Skills:
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Enthusiasm for creating a positive, inclusive environment for children.
- Good literacy and numeracy skills.
- Adaptable, proactive, and supportive approach to teamwork.
- You’ll bring a passion for helping children thrive and a willingness to contribute to a collaborative, child-centred environment.

Key Information:
- Start Date: 2nd June 2025 or sooner
- Work Pattern: Monday to Friday, 3:30pm – 5:30pm (10 hours per week), term time only
- Contract Type: Permanent
- Location: Willowdown Primary School, Kings Drive, Bridgwater
